Strafford is located in Strafford County, New Hampshire. It includes the Village of Bow Lake, a popular fishing town. Strafford was once part of Barrington. It was incorporated n 1820 and named after Strafford County. The Bow Lake Grange Hall in town was built in 1829. It originally operated as a steam mill and today is home to the theatre group, The Lakeside Players.
